It just seems as if Man City have more money than is good for them? I was a huge fan of Stephen Ireland under Mark Hughes and it now seems he will be used as a pawn in order to lure James Milner to City. He will be the Eastland side’s 6th big money signing of the Summer at £24m, with Yaya Tourés’ wages alone exceeding £190 ooo per week! The protracted deal between City and Aston Villa has eventually been agreed.Villa will receive £16m plus the £8m-rated midfielder Ireland.
Seeing as though I sway toward the Red side of Manchester, I hope that all this spending will not amount to much as they already are looking to have problems with their 4-3-3 formation. Why on earth are they playing with 3 defensive midfielders in the form of Touré, De Jong and Gareth Barry?
But I’ll leave that up to Roberto Mancini and I must admit I am happy United are looking in the right places for youth, where we get some value out of purchases and don’t just fork out large sums for big names…
