Fives Futbol – Varsity Cup 5V5 Tournament

Friday saw the introduction of the first instalment of Fives Futbol's Varsity Cup Tournament. It was a great day, sick vibes and some bladdy good players! Thanks to all the people that made it happen! Big up to Fives Futbol, Bavaria, Puma and Adidas Originals and Varsity college for making the day happen!

Friday afternoon kicked off with the first instalment of the Varsity Cup 5V5 tournament, brought to you by Fives Futbol & Varsity College. It was held at the Hellenic Club, Moullie Point and I must say the day was a real success. There was some great talent on show and I have managed to sign one or two gems for my own Mr. Cape Town 5’s corporate side, who play on a Monday evening ๐Ÿ˜‰ It turns out Keegan (or Giggsy as his mates call him) actually plays for FC Cape Town and has been called up to the SA U23 National Squad. Yes people, I have an eye for exceptional quality when it comes to football ๐Ÿ˜‰

Fives Football Manager Daniel Fernandes explaining the rules to the various captains.

My money was on the side that won it from the start and I made quite a few new mates during the day too. A big thanks must go to Bavaria non-alcoholic, Puma and Adidas Originals for the prizes, as well as Ray from Fives for organising the event. I must say, there were some belters down from the ‘Wes Kus’ too…Jurre! Here are some pictures and video’s of the event which include; The winning side, best celebration, the silks (skills) award and a sick little clip of just how decent the winning side was!

The stands have a great view of both the fields.

Enjoy and remeber to contact me for corporate league bookings as our next season will start in the next few weeks. It costs R2160 for a 10 week season and there is no better way for your employees to get to know each other on a personal level. Fives also offer Ajax Soccer Schools for the youngsters, as well as social bookings for those who just enjoy a kick around now and then.

The Prizes

Bavaria non-alcoholic, Puma, Adidas Originals, Fives Futbol and Varsity College deserve a huge thanks for making the event a success!

The Winners

The winning side. By far the best team at the tournament and deserved winners!

Silks (skills) Award

Siviwe and the guys from Varsity College presenting him with an extravagant Adidas t-shirt!

Best Celebration

The Winners – These okes can jam!
