Kevin Davies – Captain of Bolton Wanderers FC

So for all you big stars out there who never write back to people on Twitter (most likely because they don't run their own accounts) I think you should learn something from this genuine oke.

As you know Wayne Rooney is injured and this opens a door for one of the other form strikers in England. There are not many that can make the step up to the National side and as you saw in the World Cup, they are far from ready for the biggest stage. When I think about English Football the following English striker’s come to mind: Wayne Rooney, Jermain Defoe, Peter Crouch and Emile Heskey.

Will run through a brick wall for Bolton...Definitely my choice to take over the club!

Before I go on I would like to say that I am not at all a fan of Heskey. Neither Peter Crouch, but hey look at the lads goal return and then there is nothing more to speak about. It is prolific, to say the least! For me, Wayne and Defoe choose themselves and the next couple names that come to mind are; Bent, Cole, Davies and Zamora. This is where I think a player like Kevin Davies can get his chance.

With no Wayne and no real target man, other than crouch, I feel the time is perfect to give the lad a run. Clearly Kevin Davies is one of the most in form strikers after creating a formidable partnership with Johan Elmander this season. Kevin is big, powerful, good in the air, a poacher, a leader and an all round team player. I mean, where would Bolton be without the lad? He is at the centre of their entire tactical strategy and has always been my favourite player at The Reebok, along with Jussi Jaaskelainen and Kevin Nolan when he was still there! I think it is about time he is rewarded for his rich run of form and would definitely wear his heart on his sleeve.

Togetherness is the key behind this sides success...

In saying this, I have managed to organise an interview with Kevin himself so we can pick his brain about his career, the call up and pretty much anything that is interesting πŸ™‚ I am still communicating with him with regard to which medium we should use, but I am going to try pull his leg for a Skype video πŸ˜‰ I also have a lot more respect for the man after he replied to my message and sent me his details on how we can organise an interview. He is clearly a winner as you will see from his reply, asking whether I won my cricket match today.

My reply to the fact that Kevin did not make the England Squad – follow the feed πŸ™‚

So for all you big stars out there who never write back to people on Twitter (most likely because they don’t run their own accounts) I think you should learn something from this genuine oke. The World doesn’t only revolve around you! Much respect Mr. Davies and good luck with that call up πŸ™‚
