My buddy Myles Dicky has asked me for some help with getting exposure for his awesome picture he captured in Bangkok, Thailand. It is part of the Foundry Photojournalism Workshop competition and is based around getting Likes to set you apart from the rest of the talent! The photo tells as story which reminded him a bit of his home town, The Kaap and for this reason I am willing to give him my support. Hopefully some of you will branch out and help him win too if you have a few seconds to spare!
The Image – “HOME”
His Inspiration
I shot this image on a recent trip to Bangkok. Coming from South Africa, homeless people are not a new concept to me, but this was the first person I had come across in Bangkok. He had made his home on the landing of a public stairwell just near the Surasak sky train station. Indeed, for today this was his home and this was where he had decided to sleep, out of the stifling heat that Bangkok can disgorge.
