The annual South African Cheese Festival is back! Sandringham, near Stellies turns into cheese and wine Country (as if it wasn’t already) in the form of South Africa’s biggest and best cheese fest this weekend. The event runs from Saturday morning right through until Tuesday evening, so you have no excuse to miss this one!
Having never been myself, I don;t know too much low down about the event. But with names like Checker’s, Western Cape Government, Klipdrift, Peroni, Standard Bank, Fair Cape, DStv, Die Burger, Simonsberg, Nedbank and VW on board you can guess how epic the setup is going to be! I have heard pretty good things from the Afrikaans meisies I know from that side, and they always know how to show you a good time 😉
There are no tickets available at the door, so you can grab tickets on Computicket [here] and the doors open daily at 10am. So there is loads of time to try all the awesome cheese, wine, beer, bubbly and sweet treats until 6pm! My crush Seline and MasterChef SA finalist Leandri van der Wat will be performing at the Afrox Cooking Pot see programme at http://www.cheesefestival.co.za/programmes-afrox.html so I’ll probably be hanging around there 😉
