There has been a lot of talk about Google+ this morning online. I guess that is in the wake of their decision to make it available to anyone, not just people who receive an invite from a fellow Google user. Now any Google users can sign up to this, in my opinion, fail of a social network. Most people have said that it is actually not a bad platform at all, but is just one too many to manage. I mean with Twitter, Facebook, Skype, LinkedIn, Tumblr, BBM, WhatsApp it is already difficult to keep up with everyone’s messages, comments, streams and rants! Here is a sick video I found which introduces a new angle about this anti social network.
The arrow Google have strategically placed on their search engine this morning will surely get them some users signed up. Although I don’t think they will be using it as often as Facebook & Twitter…
Did you know that Google+ usage rates have dropped by 41% over the last month alone? That is a bit large for a reasonably new medium that is still trying t sign people up don’t you think? I have a feeling it may go the same way as MySpace so don’t get addicted just yet. Being involved in social media management myself, I need to know the medium. But for you everyday folk, I recommend the Mashable approach… Watch the video below to see what I mean 😉
