As you know I am a passionate drinker and since I have been training I haven’t been drinking as much beer as I would have liked. I have kinda gone for the ‘quality over quantity’ approach to keep the carb count down, and, it has opened up an entire new World for me! If you don’t know what craft beer is, in a nutshell it is basically superior beer! They use way more malt and hops than your average mainstream beers, hence they taste a shit load better. So if you are in the area or keen for a cool day out with some mates, I highly recommend you check The Constantia Craft Beer Festival out below:
23 – 24 FEBRUARY 2013, FALSE BAY RUGBY CLUB, CONSTANTIA:
Gates open at 10 am on both Saturday and Sunday and the venue is the False Bay Rugby Club. The Festival will house 15 local and international Craft Beer Brewers along with delicious slow food stalls and local wineries. A picnic like atmosphere on the lawns with craft, arts and a fantastic line up of live entertainment will be available. Families and craft beer enthusiasts will be encouraged to bring along the little ones.
Some of my personal favourites will be there and I suggest you try the following brands: BrewDog, Devil’s Peak, Den Anker, Citizen, Rogue, Camelthorn and Everson’s for the cider fans!
