Being a special/deal hunter I have eaten breakfast at many a venue in Cape Town. I mean, who wants to go to the effort of making a full English when they are hungover and in dire straits for some oily, recovery bacon & eggs? The thought of cleaning pans and shit alone already deters me from even thinking about it. The only time I am so lucky is when my moms cooks up a storm for breakki every now and then… Cafe Sofia, Camps Bay always seems to do the trick for me. Please note this is not a paid for article or anything, I just generally am always happy with the portions, price and the new addition of hot chips to the offering.

I rate they caught onto the hot chip idea from the Spur Unreal Breakfast Special…The fact that I moved around the corner from the place also just makes it that much more convenient.
The Camps Bay store is situated on the 1st floor of The Promenade on Victoria Road above the hustle and bustle of the traffic. This elevated position and the elegantly laid out interior and outside seating on the balcony provides the perfect setting for taking in the views of the ocean while sipping on a cocktail or enjoying an oyster shooter!
The service is generally decent, although sometimes they are quite packed (especially on weekends) so you have to take that into account for the rate and offering you are getting I suppose. Luckily my mate is the manager so I always get sorted nicely! Oh, one more thing they give you a whole pot of tea and not a cup so opt for that over the coffee 😉 Another reason I like them is because they have kept up with the times and realise the importance of Social Media avenues…
