Uber, Cape Town’s preferred on-demand black car service, is using its technology to melt hearts this Valentine’s Day. On Friday, February 14th, users can activate the Uber app on a smartphone and, within minutes, watch as a bouquet of roses is delivered to loved ones in Cape Town. Available from 10:00AM – 8:00pm (while supplies last), Uber has partnered with Monarch Tuksis to deliver that last minute special something for their sweetheart.
Recipients will receive a bouquet of twelve long stem red roses by NetFlorist, a pink promo card card, and an optional personalized verbal message delivered by Uber’s very own team members. Uber Cape Town Community Manager, Lindsey Elkin, sums up on demand roses as “the perfect romantic gesture for all of the last minute Capetonians who simply don’t have time to plan these things ahead!” General Manager, Anthony Le Roux, describes on demand roses as “an example of how Uber is revolutionizing the way Capetonians go about their daily lives.”
When ordering on Valentines Day, users simply open the app, tap the Rose option on the screen, tag their delivery location (where they want the flowers sent) and request the delivery. Users will then immediately receive a phone call to personalize verbal messaging for delivery, and confirm other relevant details. For questions, visit www.uber.com/capetown or direct them to supportcapetown@uber.com.
Additionally, all Ubers in Cape Town, Durban and Johannesburg will be stocked with Valentines Day surprises, thanks to our fantastic sponsors, NetFlorist and Lindor Chocolates.
