It should be an interesting one this year, with either Crystal Palace or Cardiff City guarenteed a place in the final! Palace dumped 2010 winners Manchester United out of the competition last night with a hard fought 2-1 win in extra time. But the most juicy tie’s of all will come in the semi finals, which will see Premier League high flyers Man City face Liverpool!!!
Kenny Dalglish’s men dumped out big spenders Chelsea in the last round, giving them a 2-0 hiding at Stamford Bridge, which was un hear of during Mourinho’s reign at The Blues! Man City disposed of Arsenal with a late goal from the man Kun Aguero. This is sure to be a cracker of a game, with Liverpool flying high against the top 4 sides this year… They have beaten Chelsea and held both United & City to 1-1 draws already this term. The other tie see’s two Championship sides pin their wits against each other, with Palace having the home advantage in the first leg. Remember, the semi-finals take place in January over two legs, with City being the home side for the first leg in the other game!
Luis Suarez can expect some more rough treatment from Manchester City centre back Vincent Kompany over both the ties!
