Great news for everyone who supports Ajax CT today after ex Sundowns youngster Keagan Dolly signs a new and improved 3 year deal with the Cape club. After escaping relegation, Ajax CT will need to secure some experienced names to break into the Top 8 next season. But, securing young talents like Dolly is vital the bigger scheme of things!
Having played against Keagan myself at the launch of the new Fives Futbol in Century City, I can safely say he will make more than 12 appearances this season under new coach Ertugral. He is probably the most skillful human I have ever shared the field with, and, he may be the answer to the number 10 position at Ajax CT! With doubts around the future of Khama Billiat, this may be the time for Dolly to stand up and prove his worth.
Keagan was named in the World XI alongside team mate and close friend Travis Graham at the Copa Amsterdam 2012, proving he is a cut above the rest in his age group. He is yet to cement his place in the Ajax CT 1st side and hasn’t seen as much game time as he did under Dutch coach Stekelenburg.
I hope this season he gets more chances to show what he is capable of, especially finding spaces in behind the oppositions midfield. Follow Keagz on Twitter @Dolly_Keagz28 to stay up to date with his career and progress. Tipped as the new Steven Pienaar having grown up in the same area, you can see why there are so many hoping he fulfills the signs shown by his early career! Bafana could do with a new “Skillo”, that’s for sure…
