The Absa Premiership is kicking off in style this year with a football fiesta including some new and old local flavour. New comers to the PSL Vasco Da Gama will take on South African giants Orlando pirates, followed by Cape Town big guns Ajax Cape Town when they meet Bloemfontein Celtic.

Tickets will be going on sale shortly and are expected to be between R60 – R80. I cannot wait for this event and hope they will be closing off the fan mile which will definitely rekindle some memories 😉

PSL CEO Kjetil Siem congratulated all the four teams for buying into this initiative which is set to excite soccer lovers in Cape Town. “I must thank all parties concerned for ensuring that we kick off the Absa Premiership in fine style,” said Siem.
“There are many challenges associated with hosting an event of this nature, but thanks to the co-operation of the teams, stadium management, our League sponsor, broadcasters and the City of Cape Town, we are now able to provide fans with a pure soccer spectacular.”
