One of my favourite local wine farms is hosting a rad event this braai day. Here’s a bit about what you can expect from the farm with some of the richest local heritage, breathtaking views, wines shaped by the landscape and a wonderful picnic area!
Live music, breathtaking views, award-winning wine and the delicious aroma of meat on the braai are all on offer at Durbanville Hills Wines this Heritage and Braai Day (24 September). And with no dishes to do afterwards you can spend an extra hour stretched-out under the olive grove with a glass of wine enjoying the panoramic vista of Table Mountain, the vineyards and rolling hills.
Durbanville Hills’ restaurant will be preparing a variety of gourmet boerewors rolls fresh from the braai at R35, each served with some creative, interesting toppings. They will also be open for breakfast and lunch offering an la carte menu.
The tasting room will be open from 10.00 until 15.00 and live music will be available from 11.00 until 14.00. For more information you can check out their website www.durbanvillehills.co.za or hit them up on Twitter @DHillsWine.
