I have not visited the gym in a good while and was pleasantly surprised by the new renovations that have been done at the Wembley Square Virgin Active. Seeing as though I am not a huge fan of the weight zone and more importantly the boytjies that chill there, I prefer to reside on the bike, stepping machine, treadmill, rowing machine and the super circuit. I did not have my card with me today and simply relaying my ID number to the lady at the door was good enough to get me in.

The gym was not that packed for 5pm and I had no problems with waiting for machines or queing for a stretch matt. The new layout is awesome and helps to create some more space and a larger feel inside the gym. They have also however changed some of the machinery, which I did have a problem getting the hang of initially. Overall it was a good experience and reminds me why I have a contract with Virgin Active, rather than BUC or City Gym!
Wembley also has a variety of shops and restaurants to choose from 🙂
I am really looking forward to going more often and to top it off, the eye candy around those area codes isn’t all that bad 😉
