Over the years sponsors, logo’s, players, rules, kits and even the ball get changed. I am guessing because of sponsorship deals and it obviously creates a new hype and a fresh appeal for the Tri-Nations tournament each year. Vodacom had such a strong link to the Tri Nations brand, I almost just typed the Vodacom Tri-Nations :p South African beer giants Castel Lager have jumped at the opportunity and have just released the new logo for this years competition! I guess with Black Label dominating the Varsity Cup with sponsorship, branding and advertising, it seems like a great opportunity for the Castle brand to recapture some of the older rugby market.
Great work from SAB, as they have sealed 2 of the biggest tournaments of their kind, with two of their market leader brands! What do you think about the new logo? I have included some older logos that you can compare this new look Caste Tri-Nations logo with 😉
