The Crazy Horse 2-4-1 Burger Special

The Crazy Horse on Bree Street has just launched their brand new summer menu! Which means out with the Beef Wellington, Pie Mash & Gravy and in with the Chicken Wings, Pork Riblets and Gourmet Burgers. To celebrate the occasion they have launched a 2-4-1 burger special which will take place every Wednesday from 12h00 noon, until 22h00 when the kitchen closes. Choices of sides include skinny fries, sweet potato fries, side salad or posh fries, which are tossed in truffle butter and Parmesan cheese. Sides are not included with your burger and are an optional extra.

I have included all the finer details, my two best choices, plus some more about their Happy Hour specials, which run for three hours!

The Bree Street is my personal pick which tops the charts from their offering of four gourmet burgers. Your choice of patty in BBQ basting, served on a bed of lettuce, tomato and fresh pickles, topped with feta cheese, streaky bacon and avocado. This bad boy sets you back R90, which would be the price for two on a Wednesday!

HAPPY HOUR!

Happy Hour runs from 16h00 – 19h00 Monday to Friday. They have drinks and a few starters on special during this time period. Here is what’s on offer below:

2-4-1 on all Horse Piss draughts, made for them by Citizen, The Crazy Horse house wines in white, red or rosé and all six Hooch flavours!

R99 for any combo from the chicken wings options and chilli poppers. For instance, I went for the BBQ chicken wings and the chilli poppers. You could also go for a combo of any two styles of wings, which are delicious!

They have cocktail specials on Aperol Spritz, Bulldog Gin with Fitch & Leedes pink tonic and Skyy Vanilla Vodka at the upstairs bar during this time. Just ask your bartender or waitress about the specials. Available upstairs only!

The Mexican is basically exactly that. Your choice of patty in BBQ basting, served on a bed of lettuce, tomato and fresh pickles, topped with their in house guacamole, nacho chips, tomato salsa and melted cheddar cheese. This amigo sets you back R85, which would be the price for two on a Wednesday!

How It Works

Head to The Crazy Horse with your burgers buddy. Pick any two burgers and only pay for the more expensive one. They don’t come with chips, so I recommend adding the posh fries, or sweet potato chips if you’re recovering from the Christmas dad bod vibes! Eat in only, no take-outs. Hit the special before 19h00 to take advantage of their happy hour drinks specials too.
