Café Caprice, the ultimate destination on the Camps Bay strip is an institution in Cape Town. It is not just a restaurant or cocktail bar, but a venue that encapsulates the Capetonian lifestyle. Chef Guy Theunissen and resident Mixologist Kyle Bownes have given the Caprice food and drink menu a creative twist since combining their talents on the Summer 2011/2012 offering. So as I do, I went down to do a review on the new menu and tried out one or two of the new dishes!
They have some awesome new additions to the menu and I must admit if you have never tried the chow at the place since the new chef and menu have hit the scene, do yourself a favour! They still have all the old favourites like the Dreamy Burger, Pollo Pasta, Sweet Chilli Chicken Spring Rolls, Calamari Salad & Sticky Ribs for the people like me who love them! I tried the new Greek Wrap at lunch the other day, whilst some others at the table had the popular new tender chicken thigh espetada with Moroccan rice and the seafood pasta! All of the meals were great and if you are going to grab a cocktail I highly recommend a strawberry daiquiri or berry mojito, 2 of my personal favourites!
Situated across the road from the World famous Camps Bay beach, Cafe Caprice does the best burgers and cocktails in The Bay by far! Hence why I am there almost every weekend…

They have done wonders to get the standard of the food up to where it should be and I highly recommend going to try some of the chow. Although some may think it is just a bar, there is way more to the venue than just awesome cocktails and an amazing view. Perfect for a business lunch, birthday or special occasion and they have wi-fi for the online junkies like me. It has been my office for the day when my connection is down numerous times, trust me there is nowhere better to work from 😉
Caprice is renowned for some of the best cocktails in Camps Bay, let alone Cape Town! They also have a very wide variety for all taste profiles!
