I am a big fan of sweets (at times) and always try to keep up with brands and what they are doing with regard to product development, packaging, retail, promotions, events and advertising. Yesterday I noticed that Aero had released a white filled centre chocolate bar, similar to that of the mint one. So I bought a slab for the boys yesterday evening and ended up finishing it all on my own pretty much. Great taste, good texture and once again the Aero brand made me float away on a bubble…
It is pretty much the same product, with a different packaging.
A few days ago I also noticed that Lucozade had finally introduced their range of plastic bottles into the South African market. I like the plastic option, but I am a bit upset it is not as big as the glass option 🙁 Now I wait till they introduce the cherry flavour my friend Rene raves about over in London!
Stuff cherry Coke, for almost the same price I'll rather purchase Lucozade!
All of this got me thinking about some of the brands I used to consume in my younger days. After a good 5 minutes of nostalgia I realised that Lifesavers, those colourful, fun sweets are no longer available? If anyone knows where to buy this product please let me know, because I’m a fiend when it comes to Lifesavers!
