How It Works:
Each of our 10 top sporting media personalities have selected #Names for their “horses”. On Wednesday 03 July at 12h00 the Unofficial Durban July 14th Race will kick off.
The personalities will need to get their followers to tweet & retweet their horse’s #Name and #BeTheStud; each time this is done their horse will move forward towards the number of mentions they need to win the race.
This number has been calculated according to the number of followers each personality has to make the race more balanced and fair, for example a person with 50,000 followers will have to get a much higher number of mentions than a person with 5,000 followers.
This allows all the competitors to stand a chance of coming in the top 3 and winning R10,000, R3,500 or R1,500 for the charity of their choice.
How To Help Me Win:
All you need to do is start Tweeting tomorrow from 12 noon. To help my horse progress in the 8 bit style Twitter race for charity is Tweet by using the #Babylon and #BeTheStud hash tags. Show your support by Retweeting any Tweets you see with the tags too as this will help spread the good cause!

My Charity:
The charity I have chosen to represent is the MyLife Foundation. They are a great group of people run by Linzi Thomas, aiming at saving the underprivileged kids of Cape Town. Linzi truly is an inspiration to so many and their new Eco Village is the long term goal to ensure our youth have the chance at a positive future!
