One of my best runs of the year is almost upon us, and if you’ve never taken part in the #Lighthouse10km then you’re in for a sure treat. A very similar route to that of the Growthpoint Sundowner 10km which takes place every December, you can expect a flat and fast route. Perfect for a new personal best! This year’s race is once again a sundowner event, taking place along the picturesque Sea Point Promenade on 2 March at 18h30pm.
It’s awesome to see that this year they have partnered with some great brands, and hopefully we can rally enough runners and support to keep the race backed by them in the future. The race that’s run and managed by the same team that brings you The Gun Run, is now known as the Discovery Lighthouse Ten! They are in partnership with the World renowned Under Armour brand who have also come on board. Race entries are managed by the best in the business, Top Events. You can enter online, or on race day from 14h00pm at the start area, opposite Winchester Mansions on Beach Road!

There will also be a lucky draw after the race, so stick around for prize giving. There’s a 32 inch Samsung LCD TV up for grabs, plus prize money for podium finishers as you can see broken down above.
